My Poor Friend "Q"

My Poor Friend "Q"

The letter "Q" has a very hard life as a letter.  It almost always has to be stuck with the letter "U", people always make fun of it saying it is only an "O" with line through it, and "Q' shows up rarely in the English language because it is considered a useless letter.
"Q" and "U" are always paired for no reason. What if "Q" wanted to be alone for once. I mean how many just "Q" words can you name? One, Two maybe. There is about fifty-five words in the english language that have a free "Q". Plus the couple words that do are rare words such as qwertys. "Q" deserves freedom. Why should "Q" be bound to "U"? "Q" deserves freedom as much as toes need mustaches.
Have you ever heard a person taunt the letter "Q"? If you have, you most likely are hanging around children. Children are being taught through their peers that "Q" is nothing more then a "O" with a line through it. Poor "Q".  I mean, what type of reputation is that?  The true origin of "Q" is that it was based off an ancient Egyptian hieroglyph. That is way cooler then a "O" with a line through it. "Q" is craving justice.
Rare is a nice way of saying "Q" is practically not used. Yes, there is words with this fancy letter but, "Q" does not get enough time in the spotlight. I guess the argument can be made in both directions though, i think it is an awful occurrence for "Q". Nobody loves "Q".
"Q" is my best friend and I feel sorry for the innocent letter. "Q" deserves more then this. No letter should experience this rejection. The poor "Q"!

Toes will be Toes: Odd Essay #2

Toes will be Toes

Toes are a fantastic thing. They are useful, they entertain us, and they unify us. Toes can be used for almost anything. Have you ever had the pleasure of playing with your toes? It will keep you entertained for hours. For the more practical people a reason to love toes is that they unite us in an unbelievable and shocking way. Toes are so important they are even considered earth shattering.
Toes are very important to life. How would we walk without toes? Imagine having to wear shoes all the time just to stay balanced. Walking barefoot would be a thing of the past. Plus it would look awkward to have no toes on your feet. Wearing flip flops would be impossible and that itch you itched on you leg this morning wit your toe would still be itching. Picking up pencils with your toes would not be possible. You would also be bored more often, an issue I will address in the following paragraph. Life without toes is a horrifying thought isn't it.
Do you want to never bored again? Play with your toes. Toe activities are surprisingly fun. One game is were one or more people draw faces on their toes and pretend your toes are having conversations. I mean who hasn't wondered what your big toe said to your middle toe? Another extremely fun activity is to try to paint a picture of something using just your toes, a paintbrush, paint, and something to paint on. A good one person game is called Toe Fishing. Put different objects into an almost full bucket of water. The goal is to get the objects out of the water just using your toes. You can't spill any of the water. This is a test of toe elegance. I hope these toe activities keep you entertained forever more.
Toes make us one. I bet almost everyone you know has all of their toes. People who don't have all of their toes are still part of the community of toes but in a different way. There are big toes, little toes, long toe, stubby toes, curly toes, and fat toes. Toes also help us bond. Have you ever tickled somebody's toes or played "This Little Piggy" with a toddler? This means you have bonded through toes. I mean it is not like you can walk up to stranger and start tickling his toes but,  you can still bond through toes with people who have already realized your odd. Toes bring us together.
Toe is a mystical word. Toe is a word that has a reputation of being useful, bringing us together, and freeing us from the shackles of boredom. Toes are and always will be toes.

Mustaches in Our World: Strange essay #1

Mustaches in Our World

Have you ever thought about the hair on your upper lip? Mustaches are seen through out history and used for many different things. We have mustaches in the world today on our neighbors, friends, wives, husbands, and children. Mustaches are every were in the world today. In the past mustaches were also a way of life. The other good thing about this special facial hair is that it is vey useful. Mustaches are amazing!
Rollie Fingers, Mark Spitz, Santa Clause (yes, he counts), and Reggie Jackson are just a few people alive today who have inspired the stylish facial hair upon the lip. Mustaches are so fashionable that people buy fake mustaches to blend in. Mustache tee- shirts, necklaces, and duct tape vanish from stores in an instant.  They even get you a job in today’s economy.  A finance company called Quicken found that men with mustaches bring 8.2 percent more money home then bearded folk and 4.3 percent more moola then the “clean”-shaven men. The Mustache Institute is here to teach us to love, learn and breath mustaches. Mustaches are very popular in today’s world.
Mustaches have also influenced history in a spectacular way. Albert Einstein, Howard Taft, and Teddy Roosevelt wore the mustache through out time. Cave men even possessed mustaches, is the theory anyway. Imagine every one with a completely bald face! Einstein without a mustache doesn’t work! Mustaches have made their own time line.
Imagine a world with no hair on the upper lip. Mustaches bring cultures together. French, Mexican. Indian, Native American, Spanish, Japanese, English, German the list goes on and on of cultures with their own styles of mustaches, bonding themselves together through facial hair. Bragging rights is also an important aspect of mustache farming. Badamsinh Juwansinh Gujar has the honor of having the worlds longest known mustache measuring twelve and a half feet long in 2004. Mustaches keep you upper lip warm in the cold climate. Think about having to were an upper lip scarf to keep away the cold. Mustaches are important!
Mustaches contribute so much to our world! Mustaches have made their way through history and into the present. Mustaches have help make our world! "We must grow it, love it, and show it!" is what a mustache lover once said. Wear your hairy upper lip with pride!
